Goodbye July, Hello August

My July 2010 in Torrance, CA is winding to its fateful end. It feels like yesterday when that final bell rang and freshman year was over. Why does summer go by so fast? Well tomorrow I'm leaving for BSA Jamboree 2010.

For those of you who don't know what BSA stands for or don't know what their Jamboree is, then go Google it and educate yourself a little bit. Actually, since this is the age of laziness (well, for me anyways) I'll even give you a link: Click this if you want to be educated about the BSA Jamboree

Well now that you know what that is I can talk as if you are fellow BSers as I like to call it. We leave tomorrow at 11:55 PM and you can kill me now because I have to wear my uniform in the airport, on the plane, and everywhere else we go before we get to camp. But I know I'll love it (the tour, not the uniform).

I'm gonna see my grandpa who lives in NorCal and my Filipino family who lives back there. It's weird how my grandpa and I meet across the country when we live in the same state...

But this Jamboree is really important to me because I've invested over a year to this. I'm ASPL (ass-pull <--- not really) in Troop 819, which is Assistant Senior Patrol Leader. That means I don't have to be in a patrol and people get to cook for me. Basically, all I do is really "supervise". I hit you with a lot of BS lingo in there (BS stands for something appropriate, duh) so you better figure it out if you don't know BS well.

So once I get to jamboree I get to "supervise" and do whatever I want. There is literally billions of things to do there (look at the website!) so I'm expecting craziness. Anyplace that has over 35,000 boys at the same place is bound to get crazy... We'll see if I try anything adventurous like mountain boarding.... DOUBT IT, I can't even ride a skateboard, but the thought makes me laugh.

Then we come back (yes, in uniforms) and it's August. Sigh. And I'm missing my mom's 21st *cough*40th*cough* birthday along the way. So I gotta find a present. Maybe I'll make a card tomorrow while I'm at home before I leave. I actually think that's a good idea.

RANDOM MESSAGE: While typing, I am watching TV and I just saw an ad for the TV show "Shaq Vs." and he is competing against Justin Bieber!? Since when is Justin Bieber anything close to a competitive anything. Maybe he'll compete to have the best hair (Wait, Shaq already beats the swooshed bowl cut that Bieber dawns).

Welcome back to our scheduled programming, well we get to fly Virgin America back, so at least I get some kind of technology on my way back.

But I just wanna thank EVERYONE who made my trip to the BSA Jamboree possible. Mom, dad, scoutmasters.

That is all.

Hawaii and MORE!

Well I am back from Hawaii! And just for all those that are wondering (because I know you are!), I did not forget ANYTHING! That packing list really worked... but of course, I overpacked as always.

Well Hawaii went really amazing. It was all that I thought it was and MORE! Grace (my cousin, DUH!) made it 100000% better. I would've felt lonely without her, but she made it fun and I had some fun company.

Here is my HAWAII TOP TEN! (HTT :] )
10. Appreciating nature for real
9. Going to a REAL Hawaiian Luau
8. Having some bomb meals!
7. Outrigger canoeing and almost hitting surfers!
6. Parasailing near Waikiki!
5. Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay!
4. Spending time with my dad and Jennifer, and of course GRACE
3. Learning how to somehow surf
2. Going to the LOST beach!
.... and #1 at the end of the blog :]

More details later, hopefully.... but since you all know me personally, right? Go to my Facebook page soon for all these pictures! They'll be up soon!

One Last Message:
I try to have a 100% uplifting blog. I don't like to be a negative person, and if I am a negative person then I try to keep it to myself. I apologize for any rants on this page because I want to improve and somehow touch someones life out there. Far fetched, I know, but I try. I don't have anything against my friends who post EVERYTHING they feel, but it makes me sad. But I still love you guys, you know who you are!

AND MY NUMBER ONE IN THE HTT!

1. FINALLY GETTING TO HAWAII!

There you have it!
